Where to go for Rapid Lateral Flow Tests in Madeira Island


One of our common questions is, where to go to make the Rapid Lateral Flow Test In Madeira Island. Funchal and all the cities around have places where you can be tested.


You have to be aware that from now most of the establishments will require you to show proof of vaccination or proof of a Negative Covid-19 Rapid Lateral Flow Test. This Tests have a 7 day validation, after that you will need to carry a new test.


In the establishments mentioned below, inhabitants and visitors should have a TRAg (Rapid Lateral Flow Test) screening test for SARS-CoV2 infection, with a negative result, carried out in the last seven days or, alternatively, a European Union Digital COVID Certificate or another document certifying that the holder has been vaccinated against COVID-19:

• Public transport;

• Supermarkets;

• Pharmacies;

• Grocery stores;

• Commercial centres;

• Clinics;

• Medical and dental;

• Veterinarians;

• Medical health and social support services;

• Home oxygen and medical gas services;

• Public attendance services (Municipal Councils, Parish Councils, Citizen's Shop, Finance and Social Security departments, Postal Services);

• Churches and other places of worship;

• Fuel filling stations.

Exceptions:

Children under 12 years old and persons who, for health reasons, cannot be vaccinated, are exempt from compliance with the measures indicated above (presentation of test and/or vaccines and COVID EU Digital Certificate) upon the submission of a formal medical certificate, as well as persons with a formal medical certificate certifying that the holder has recovered from the COVID-19 disease, issued within the last 90 days.


OTHER SPECIFIC MEASURES:

Christmas festivities (until December 15)

As for now until the 15th of December 2021 there are new measures that you need to take in account:


Central Walkway and Praça da Restauração

Walking through the exhibitors, stands, Christmas houses and other areas, along the delimited circuits of controlled access is only allowed upon the presentation of proof of vaccination against COVID-19 as well as a TRAg (Rapid Lateral Flow Test) screening test for SARS-CoV-2 infection, with a result negative, performed on a weekly basis;

Childbirth Masses

Those over twelve years old who participate in these initiatives and/or attend these recreational areas must have a TRAg (Rapid Lateral Flow Test) screening test for SARS-CoV-2 infection, with a negative result, performed within a maximum period of seven days or, alternatively, the holders of the European Union Digital COVID Certificate or a document certifying that the holder has been vaccinated against COVID-19;

Christmas Dinners and Activities | Amusement Parks and Circuses It´s recommended that those over twelve years old who participate in these initiatives must carry a TRAg (Rapid Lateral Flow Test) screening test, for SARS-CoV-2 infection, with a negative result, carried out in the seven days prior to the activities/events, as well as a European Union Digital COVID Certificate or a document certifying that the holder has been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Cultural, Artistic and Sporting Activities | Cultural Events | Conferences

From 00:00 of November 27th, it is recommended that the over twelve years old who participate in these initiatives must carry a TRAg (Rapid Lateral Flow Test) screening test, for SARS-CoV-2 infection, with a negative result, carried out in the seven days prior to the activities/events, as well as a European Union Digital COVID Certificate or a document certifying that the holder has been vaccinated against COVID-19.

Exceptions:

The exceptions include children under 12 and persons who, for health reasons, cannot be vaccinated, upon the presentation of a formal medical certificate and persons with a formal medical statement certifying that the holder has recovered from the COVID-19 disease, issued in the last 90 days.

NOTE: TRAg (Rapid Lateral Flow Test) screening tests for SARS-CoV-2 infection may be carried out, on a weekly basis, in pharmacies, laboratories, clinics and posts that adhere to the massive testing campaign of the Regional Government, without any charges for participants
